I was born and grew up in western Massachusetts, USA. My passions include technology, libraries, and reading, along with a strong interest in exploring the world, especially Asia. I have a deep love for history, which was also my focus in my bachelor's studies, and I enjoy learning about diverse cultures. Identifying as a lifelong learner, I constantly seek new knowledge. At present, I am teaching myself Korean.
I am currently an MLIS (Master of Library and Information Science) graduate student at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea (expected graduation August 2026), and at Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts, USA (expected graduation December 2026), participating in a dual-degree master's program. My ultimate goal is to pursue a PhD at Yonsei University, or find employment in South Korea, either as an academic librarian, researcher, or teacher. Drawing on the knowledge and experience I have developed along the way, I hope to make a difference in the world around me, particularly through the lens of international librarianship.
Current research
Master's thesis, Yonsei University
My master's thesis examined how students in South Korean higher education use generative AI for their schoolwork and how that use affects their perceived learning experiences, work quality, and concerns about the technology.
